By the Numbers

As January begins a new year, I often try to get all of my and my kids' annual appointments out of the way. It's generally the least busy time of year for me - and an annual weigh-in with my doctor is such a fun accountability to get my act together after the season of gluttony that the holidays bring. This year, however, things have gone a little overboard in terms of appointments. I'm pretty sure, this Thursday will be our last for at least 6 months, but here's how it's looked since January.

Number of appointments:

PHYSIATRIST*: 3
CHILDRENS' EYE DOCTOR: 2
PHYSICAL THERAPY: 13
VETERINARIAN: 3
CHILDRENS' DOCTOR: 1
CHILDRENS' DENTIST: 2
DOCTOR: 3
OPTHAMOLOGIST: 1

Yeah, I'm getting a little burned out. Glad to say that we are all "good to go" after these appointments, and glad that there are such skilled people to help us through our problems, but I hope 2007 requires less visits!

* PHYSIATRIST is a rehabilitation specialist recommended to help with injuries to my neck after the accident.....

I actually first read "psychiatrist" instead of physiatrist. Glad you astrisked it because I was ready to say "cool, let's share notes!" ;)

I knew that was going to happen, which is why I put the asterisk next to it. Actually, my lawyer was telling me of an insurance adjuster who actually told his customoer to go to a psychiatrist because he misunderstood the diagnosis......
