Dealing with Disappointment

It's been a pretty mopey place in our house today. Well, at least since about 2pm - that was about the time our Ducks hit halftime against Stanford - and the writing was starting to appear on the wall that Stanford was playing at their very best, and Oregon wasn't playing as well as last week.

We lost - and there goes (again) those BCS dreams. It didn't help that my sleeping habits have been totally screwy this week, thanks to a time change, migraine, "make-up" naps, etc, etc. It resulted in me waking up this morning around 4:15 - only to play a little "Scooby Doo Unmasked" on the PS2 (my latest free-time fetish......Mikayla ended up completing the game today - I'm so glad I've passed down to her my love for Scooby Doo video games) - then venture off for an hour long Safeway grocery trip, and top it off with a workout. (Which is a very good thing because I've done some emotional binging now that we've lost).

Needless to say, I need a good night's sleep because my discouragement over our loss has me a bit too mopey. As they say, there's certainly a great thrill of victory (which we experienced to the utmost last weekend) - and the agony of defeat......sigh........
