Triple Date Night

Julie has been wanting to get us and the Whites together for a triple date since we've hit the new year, and tonight we were finally able to make it happen.

Thanks to Lisa, who was so kind as to come over and bring her kiddos for a playdate - and be the designated adult in the house - we were able to take off and head to Applebees and then hit the movie "When in Rome". Dinner was enjoyable, in and of itself, it just got more entertaining as the evening wore on. =) As for the movie, I thought it was really cute. In fact, I'm not even sure why it earned the PG13 rating - it was really clean and sweet as can be for a chick flick. It doesn't hurt that I'm a big fan of my ex-Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell.

When the movie ended, we giggled out in the lobby - even more so as Will and Julie posed in this cardboard ad for an upcoming movie.

Back at home, we brought out the Wii Fit Plus game - a newer update of the game involving the balance board. It now allows you to switch out players much quicker - a feature that was lacking in the original version. One of the new games on this version involves having your character in a chicken costume and literally flapping your arms to virtually fly from platform to platform. It's hilarious to participate in - and perhaps, even funnier to watch being done. Julie actually put together a super funny video on her blog, putting our silly movements to fast speed and music.

I hate to say it, but Travis' performance on this round of entertainment was lacking.....he just wasn't on his "game". Poor guy, the time comes in everyone's life when some young whipper snapper comes in and shows you up. Will has done that to Travis, I think...... =)

Excellent dinner, excellent movie - and of course, excellent company - GREAT, GREAT night!
