"Grey's" on the Rise

I just finished watching Grey's Anatomy. Don't worry, if you are getting online right now and haven't watched it yet, I'm not giving anything away. I just want to publicly say, "I'm impressed". Generally, with a show, as the seasons go on, the quality tends to digress. The reasons why you originally watched it seem to be lost in the "tricks" the show starts using just to keep its viewership. In this show, I find myself, a person who's never even seen the first season, tuning in now more than ever. Last year, there was a lot more focus on things that reminded me of "Desperate Housewives". Now, this season, the focus seems to be dealing with the ramifications.... and deep thoughts about life, and, shall I say, drama done right.

If you aren't a fan of the show, I'm not trying to promote it. I'm just really impressed with it, and how I find myself glued to the storyline with each passing week. Good stuff. This is perhaps the best tv season for my tastes that I've seen in a long time. I find myself quite thankful for east coast viewing privileges and the good ol' DVR.

I am watching it right now....So the past seasons of Veronica Mars are probably like what you described?
And how do you get east coast viewing??? I have been asking Pete for it but he says we'd have to tell Dish or DirectTV that we live on the east coast.

When we started up with DirecTV, local channels weren't available on satellite. So, we were given the east and west coast channels. We do pay a bit more for those feeds, but appreciate the convenience so much, it's worth it. I don't think it's an option were you to try to sign up for it now, we've been "grandfathered in". (The only bummer is seeing the local news and thinking a snowstorm has moved in - oh no, that's just in upstate New York!)

Regarding Veronica Mars - I think the high school dynamics played a big part in how the show went. That, and her trying to figure her own self out. This season, I'm still tuning in, but it doesn't hold a candle to VM in its glory days.....

yeah, we cannot get east coast at all. You are very lucky to have that option! it is so convenient. and multiply it with the dvr....wow! wonderful tv!
anyways, I think I will get the VM past season (s?) and last season Greys; like my sister just filled me in on who the emt is that was "beyond the light" with Meredith; it was a season 2 thing.
