A Couple of Questions XXVIII

I'm writing these questions while I'm craving yummy food - as will become quickly apparent-

1. What is your favorite pie recipe? I'd love for the actual recipe, but if you can tell me where you found it or what makes it unique, that's good enough for me.

2. What is your favorite kind of cookie?

August is here - enjoy the remaining days of childrens' freedom!

1. Not really a pie girl. I have started to appreciate a good pecan pie in the last few years, but mostly it needs to be chocolate for me. No fruit pie will do.
2. Cookies, now I have many favorites. I love a good iced sugar cookie. I love monster cookies, plain old chocolate chip. I love double chocolate rebels, a recipe I grew up with. I think basically give me a cookie that is chewy and barely baked and I'm happy.

1. Now I, on the other hand, love pie. I think I have appreciated pies more since marrying Michael who would prefer an excellent marionberry pie over any other dessert. (His mom used to bake pies for the local Grass Vally diner - so she is a pro...) Mmmm... lemon meringue, berry, cherry - special favorites are dutch apple and a fabulous strawberry cream that I've only made on a few occasions.
2. Of course I love cookies too - if it has sugar in it, it's likely to be a favorite of mine. Like Literarygirl, frosted sugar cookies might have to top the list, but I also love snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, and even a great oatmeal raisin...

Now you're talking my language....food! I don't even have to think hard to answer these questions.....
1. Lemon Meringue...hands down, but I know that recipe is all over everywhere, so I'll get the recipe for Toll House Pie and post it.
2. Those chocolate marshmallow cookies with chocolate frosting.

1. I think my pie choices range for the season. A good apple crumb pie in September is divine - Marie Calendars lemon cream cheese pie - yummmm! I am definitely a pie person.

2. Cream cheese frosting with dot sprinkles on big fluffy sugar cookies.....
