A Couple of Questions 86

1. What is something that someone else has done to or for you that has made you smile in thankfulness this week.........

2. What is a situation that you look back on recently and wish you had handled differently..........

Snow level is supposed to go down to 3500 feet. It will be pretty wild, if, on our field trip to see Jodis new house on Saturday, we encounter remnants of snow on the pass........

1. On Tuesday, when I went to see help Braydens teacher, I encountered their class in the hallway. When Brayden saw me, he lit up and insisted on holding my hand all the way back to the classroom. It brings me great joyfulness to consider my son is still so happy to embrace me and demonstrate his love for me among his peers.

2. Saturdays football game. The woman and the young man (godson, I think she referred to him as) that she brought with her were literally repulsive to me. I know that sounds incredibly harsh, but their entrie personas and conducts went again so many of my standards and values. She yelled obscenities, threats, and just nasty things constantly, he blasted on his duck whistle non-stop, they passed around a bottle of Bacardi Rum (the contents of which was later spilled all over John) - and yes, I do believe he was underage. Upon exiting the row at halftime, the guys pants fell all the way to his thighs (thankfully he was wearing boxer briefs!). So, my repsonse to them was completely ignoring them, judging them, and talking about them to all of our other neighbors who obviously couldnt stand them either. It has been brought to my attention from recent sermons and Bible Studies just how wrong my own actions were. That some how their repulsiveness can give me license to sin in my own way. Im not sure how I should have handled it differently, but how I did handle it wasnt good.

1. I can't think of much, but I have been very happy with how the mornings getting the kids off to school have gone, so I guess I'm thankful my son hasn't lost it in the mornings lately! Does that count?
2. I was very short-tempered and grumpy yesterday with my kids so I'd like to re-do about 2:30pm til 4:00pm. It was not good.

It is supposed to clear up by Saturday, high 50's and mostly sunny, so they say anyway...From what I've heard the pass has only been getting light dustings so I would guess it would be gone by then. You'll have to let me know.

1. I brought home a box of old business cards from work and on one of them Rachel wrote, "I LovE MoM" and gave it to me. :) Then I wrote "I love Rachel" on one after she was in bed, and seeing her light up when she spotted it the next morning was a great moment for us.

2. I'm always sticking my foot in my mouth with my ex husband, over-analyzing if I said too much or not enough about this or that.

RE: your game experience. A few weeks ago I made a comment to a friend about my new neghbors at the rental next door (a group of lesbians) - the kind of witty joke I've made countless times over the years - and, man, my conscience was killing me until I finally privately confessed how wrong I was and resolved never to do that again. But I thought, well, at least now I feel bad about it whereas 10 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about saying that much and more. Very humbling moment as I confessed that one in prayer. Sounds like your game neighbors were really horrible; when I get really stuck about what to do is when people like that are in the vicinity of my kids, OR their own kids. The mama bear comes out and I have very little tolerance or love!

Thanks Heather - sounds like a very similar situation. If the kids had been with us at this game, she would have received, at the very least, the EVIL EYE. I am very thankful they werent.

1. My sister gave me a niece yesterday, which I am extremely thankful for. Abigail Bree is her name and she was born at 7:42 p.m. She was 7 lbs 1 oz and absolutely beautiful!

2. I would have to agree with Stephie on this one. I wasn't too pleasant to our neighbors at the game. Instead of ignoring them, I ended up talking about them to every person I could think of once they were gone at half-time. Probably shouldn't have done that.

Great questions. Happy DAY!!!!
