Cashing In

With our boys gone for the annual "Sons of Thunder" father-son camping weekend/retreat, Michele and I have the weekend with the girls again. We took the day at a very lazy pace, but decided to spruce up the evening a bit by cashing in on our "free birthday" offers.

First stop was Red Robin. To feed all 5 of us a full dinner (complete with 2 birthday sundaes) came to a mere $17. Not bad for Red Robin. Those free burgers on your birthday (or the week of) deals are pretty sweet.......

We sat out on the patio and Mr. Squirrel showed up to entertain and enjoy a little corndog (the corn part) with us..... I know, we shouldn't have fed it, poor thing will probably have a heart attack with all of the extra saturated fat, but it definitely did its part in keeping our kiddos quite entranced during dinner. =)

Next stop was Coldstone Creamery. Another free offer for Michele and I, so another reasonable total bill for the five of us. Throw in a walk across the Courtyard to cash in Lisa's Borders gift card, and I'd say we had one heck of a profitable evening! Now, to enjoy the fruits of that Borders card........
