Walking in a Winter Wonderland

This was the scene when we woke up this morning. In the 7 years that we've done this Sunriver trip, we've never had a year like this, but always wished for one. We've never been completely let down with no snow either, so we count our blessings each year. But, we always hope for the magic to happen - the forecast to be just right - and this year we hit it. So much so that the end of the week is actually the best in terms of forecast, with low temps.

We've been enjoying ourselves immensely, but it will be good for us all to get out and go sledding this morning and then head into Bend this evening for bowling and Roadhouse Grill. The company all loves each other a ton, but there's been the annual, "I'm not grumpy, why would you say that?" or "Maybe you are just a little too intense for me when we play that game", or "It would be really nice to feel like I'm not being controlled on vacation". Throw in a little scorekeeping for who's been loading/unloading the dishwasher or taking out the garbage - ahhh, you catch my drift. Getting out of the house would be a good thing for us all! (Everybody is all "made-up", just so you know....)

Funny, I have not gone to the Roadhouse Grill, even though it is only a mile from my house, but I just heard it wasn't very great. I'm assuming since this is a repeat trip for you, that you guys think otherwise? I'm assuming I couldn't get much anyway!

Any reason you guys don't do Sun Mountain Fun Center?

We've all been bowling at Lava Lanes in the past, so it seemed like something we wanted to repeat - but we "struck" out as they only had one lane open (with nothing more to open up until 10pm), so we ended up skipping that adventure. We might just have to try the place you mentioned in the future. As for dinner, I give it a "C". It worked for us in terms of getting us in quickly and an environment where the kids could stomp on peanuts and be loud, but the food was only okay. Michele liked her pizza, so that could be a possible menu choice...... =)
