Hayward Field

Last night, Brayden was invited to spend the night with Andrew so I knew I needed to be proactive with Mikayla as I had lots of work to do (many things ignored while the fam was here). I asked John if he'd be willing to have a date-night with Mikayla and he was thrilled with the idea. He took her to Hayward Field (yes, lots of action happening in our little neck of the woods these days) - there were no trials being held last night, it was a day off so much more kid-centered. John had the opportunity to go with Dennis and Lisa the night before, able to witness three UofO guys place 1-2-3 to all be eligible for Bejing in the 800. John was thrilled and had a blast.

Mikayla also had a great time at Hayward. She came home with a new hat, water bottle and notebook that she had listed all of the special things her and her daddy got to do on her date. I sorted laundry - truly a great time had by all!

I am so jealous your husband got to be at Hayward. When I was attending UO the only events I cared to go to were vball games and track meets...so much fun and energy in Eugene. I even missed seeing that sweep on TV, I'm so much out of the TV watching habit these days it didn't cross my mind there might be something worth watching that night!

I also wrote Richard and and he wrote back, so maybe I'll have someone to blab to now and then. He seems to be getting tons of emails so I think Jodi's plan worked.
