Greetings-
Not much new to say. Off to help with teaching math in Braydens 3rd grade classroom in less than hour. I told myself that I wasnt going to commit to more than every other week, and maybe even take a break this year and focus on Mikaylas class, then a meeting with his teacher yesterday happened and Mr. Gulka talked about losing sleep because of the kids in his enormous class that just arent paying attention during math.......and, what was I supposed to do..........gee, I just love math - cant wait-
1. What is something you commonly multi-task and do while talking on the phone.........
2. What is a random thing you would like to share about yourself......... (keep thinking on this one, because the common blog-land version of this has you listing 8 of them, so you might see this question repeatedly)

1. Unload and reload the dishwasher - its like Im drawn to it on autopilot when I am on the phone. I love getting the house clean and not really acknowledging I am doing it because I am on the phone.
2. Michele and I both share this mysterious medical condition in which our ears begin a random THUMPING, for lack of a better word, when we are just trying to get to sleep, or just being woken up, or especially at a point where we are taking a nap. No doctor has ever given me a diagnosis for it - the last one (all general doctors, neither of us have ever seen a specialist) told me it was hearing the rhythm of my own heart beat but that is not the case. (If my heart beat at that rhythm, we would have a real problem on our hands). It is like someone is cupping their hands over your ear and then taking them away repeatedly, It can drive us both crazy, and certain tones are the worst - kids running down the hallway makes it happen especially. Hard to figure, I am just glad at least one other person deals with it too........
1. Same, usually dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
2. I've answered this so many times I can't imagine coming up with something new here but I'll give it a try...my nails grow very, very quickly. It's kinda scary how fast actually, and I am NOT a milk drinker.
1. Honestly, I am not much of a phone talker, so I don't really have that much time to do anything. I guess I would unload the dishwasher if it were full and ready to be unloaded.
2. I am deathly, and I do mean deathly, afraid of spiders. If Travis is not home to kill them (sorry to those of you who take them outside and let them go) I will either watch it closely until Travis gets home, so he can then kill it, or I will throw things at it until I smoosh it. One night Travis wasn't going to be home until really late and there was a spider at the very top of the vaulted ceiling. I tried everything to get it, including taking the shower rod down and trying to reach it with that. Finally, when Travis returned home he found a bunch of shoes and stuffed animals on the floor. I had thrown everything I could think of up at the spider to get it to either come down or get squished. I did finally get it to come down and I was able to spray the living daylights out of it with my hairspray (because heaven forbid I try to get it with a tissue because it may jump on me!) Hey, you asked.....
1. Drive, play on the computer, watch TV, drink tea, read a magazine, fall asleep
2. I once dated a pro hockey player and a pro basketball player, but not at the same time, although that would've been fun
1. It's funny because I always picture Michele unloading and reloading the dishwasher when she is on the phone. When we lived with her that is what she did. And I'm sure she was talking to you and you were doing the same thing:-). Me - I like to relax. I try and do the dished when I'm on the phone because Michele made it look so productive. But I get distracted and end up just sitting there.
2. I have a lot of metal in my body. Two metal plates and 17 screws. Yes - I'm accident prone. no I don't make the metal detectors at the airport go off.
I always get a sore neck when I try to do too much housework while on the phone. How do you guys do it? My sister has used one of those headsets but it doesn't sound that good, so I don't use one. I just stay unproductive.
I get that thumping, Steph, when I am trying to go to sleep. I did not know it is a medical condition.
Wow, Hollie - were kindred spirits - I dont know if medical condition is the right word - how about total annoyance!!!! Doesnt it drive you nuts........
And, Im able to unload the dishwasher with one hand, if I start holding the phone with my neck, Im totally doomed for a headache.
Steph, Colie, Hollie-
I'd love to empty the dishwasher on the phone again - I can't wait!!! Handwashing dishes on the phone just doesn't work very well. Generally I attempt to put away clothes or straighten around the house, however, I have to be careful in that often times I am so engrossed in the conversation that I later forget where I put things...
The ear thumping is a big nuisance - I sure would like to know the cause of it someday... I'm kind of stumped on this one - I'm a fast reader - I read at least 2-3 books a week, but I don't think that is very random ---- I broke the growth plate in my right arm when I was 10 - thus that arm looks quite crooked when extended (so much for a career in ballet....)
I can juggle???
Have a great week everyone - Steph - you forgot to post the pic of the finished pie....my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Chele
Chele, you can juggle? And you read 2-3 books per week??? Both are big HOW DO YOU DO THAT??? How do you juggle? waaayyy cool! And 2-3 books/week? I have a shelf full of book that I have only read their back cover. Very cool.
And the ear thing: mine isn't are recurring as it sounds like your is, but yes, so annoying.
