A Couple of Questions XXXXVII

Sorry about the lame postings. I'm trying to prepare for Sunriver this week and have been living off of a to-do list. Good news is, I've gotten a lot done. Bad news is, my body is very tired...... well worth the sacrifices though!

1. Have you ever won anything of value?

2. What pop-culture person would you most like to interview/hang out with for a day? (Jodi's blog inspired that)

Try not to get blown away today..... I was listening to the wind gusts in the bedroom, I have a feeling our reindeer lawn ornaments did not survive the night.....

1. One time I was in the mall with my friend, Liz. She worked at Talbots for a while and was picking up her paycheck, or something like that. While I was waiting for her, I entered a drawing. Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call saying I'd won a $100 gift certificate there. I ended up spending it on a classy black dress coat.... that I still love probably 6 years later.

2. I think Jennifer Garner is very cool. I'd love to just hang out at her house with the baby and see what life with her and Ben is really like.

1. This fall the school sent home a flyer on the importance of family meal times; if you filled out a survey and returned it to the school you were entered into a drawing. I was shocked when I found out we won, and our prize was a $30 gift certificate to Applebee's. Ahh, blessed relief from fast food...

2. Rachael Ray seems like a lot of fun, and it would be great to hang out with someone who could teach me so much about cooking. But is she considered "pop culture"? If not maybe I'd pick Ellen Degeneres, and see what she's really like off-camera.

Oh yes, I'd definitely consider Rachel Ray pop culture - I was just thinking of people we see on tv or in magazines that are there for "popularity sakes" vs. major achievements... (does that define it well enough....). I really like Ellen too, I think watching her in the afternoon (which I rarely make time to do) should probably be presribed as an antidote to Seasonal Affective Disorder, she just makes me smile.......

Congrats on the Applebee's certificate..... I LOVE that place!

1. I won Pete's heart.....haha
Seriously though, I have won lots of things but not much of value. Pete won a Bose radio through a bank drawing, and I use it.
2. Martha Stewart, but one day would have to be like 96 hours because of all the organizing I'd ask her to show me to do, and I'd want Dr. Phil to be a guest on her show that I was also a guest on, so I could pick his brain.

1. nothing :( - perhaps my day will come. My mother, however, is a gambler and a very luck one. She comes home with dollars in the thousands. I can remember $5500 / $10,000 / and $22,000. But - she never tells me when she looses:-).

2. Julia Roberts and The Olsen Twins. Julia Roberts seems very real and very cool - but is she really? The Olsen Twins - it's more about me wanting to help them and be a good friend to them. Their choices make me sad - but they are so cute!
