A Couple of Questions LXIX

In light of yesterday's post and the "I can relate" comments - I think some of us are definitely feeling the effects of getting older- So,

1. What is something that you (or your body) can no longer do that you used to be able to do when you were younger?

2. On the positive, what is something you can do now that you weren't able to do when you were younger?

1. Do the splits, muchless the Chinese splits; jump with abandon (i.e. on the trampoline) without getting a headache, wear a swimsuit without a built-in bra, or underwire without looking very scary......

2. I've been able to jog distances I've never achieved in the past (motivation was never there), be a mom and a wife!

1. Run and jump

2. Live independently. I literally never thought I could survive without someone else's help but I've found I can (well, not too gracefully, but by golly I get through one day at a time). It's that whole, "stumble but not fall" thing from the Bible.

1. Name a gymnastics move and I used to be able to do it. I can't even do a cartwheel now without feeling a big thud when I land.
2. I've been doing yoga regularly for a month and there are about 20 things I couldn't do that I can now, that is pretty cool. And emotionally, compared to when I was even early 20's, I have come leaps and bounds.
