Mikayla's Special Play"Date"

Yesterday, Mikayla had a very special friend come over. Her dear, "Nathan B." (that gets talked about incessantly at this house). After making them lunch, I decided to just go in the bedrooms and hang up clothes and let them interact just as they are comfortable interacting at kindergarten. (Otherwise, I think I'd be questioning Mikayla's comments and mannerisms as to whether or not they were bothering Nathan). The two had a great time. They did a lot of giggling, played Pokemon cards, played a bit on the Wii, and played with the Webkinz (it was a yucky, rainy day outside). I found myself very much liking Nathan and seeing why Mikayla thinks he's fun - together they just kind of go with the flow and make everything fun. I'm pleased my daughter is already exhibiting excellent taste and discernment......

I am brokenhearted to say, I've decided to shut my blog down again. Tonight I was at my friend's house (the one from the post about abortion) watching the kids put away the "Life" game and as her daughter dropped all the babies into a bag my friend said, "Oh no, she's dropping them, they're all DEAD, Heather." It seemed like a rather pointed comment and also like a sucker punch considering I was surrounded by children and had a massive sinus infection throbbing in my head. {sigh} My feelings are really hurt. And I feel bad because apparently hers are too. But at some point we have to stand up for our faith, don't we? But is it right if it offends and puts a wedge in a friendship? I have no clue at this point.

Anyway just wanted to explain about that. Please pray for us.

RE: your questions on my blog:

I was feeling better initially on the Vit. D but recently got a bad cold that went into a sinus infection. After a week of headaches I figured I'd better get meds before I got fired for being a major grump. Took my first pill tonight so should be feeling much better soon.

Kristin gave me her old treadmill so the excuses are dwindling...as soon as I feel better I need to be moving more and losing weight! I know that is to blame for a lot of my health challenges which just makes me angry at myself for letting it get this bad. But it's all so tied up with Shanne and men in general, I have some "issues" as they say with being thinner again. I don't know how to get past it.

I am so bummed about Courtney right now. If I lose her I'm back to not having a single close friend in the area. I need to relax and trust God, I think.

my email: harwood97321@msn.com if you want to write; then I won't have to keep leaving inappropriately long comments on your blog!

Love you Steph-you've done more for me than you can imagine just by paying attention to me...As Brandon Heath sings, "I write about love and such, maybe cuz I want it so much."

Your friend Heather.

Heather,

I just wanted you to know that I'll be praying for you. I am so sorry you are going through such a tough time. Hang in there; trust in HIM; and know there are people out there who love you. Even some who haven't even met you personally. ;o)~

Steph, cute pictures of K-Bear and Nathan. Travis knows that kid's uncle-in-law (he hung out with him growing up). He was the one who sat next to Travis at the Christmas pageant.

Happy Wednesday!
