We also have an additional new guest with us. This is "Harley". He is Travis' mom and stepdad's dog and he is a Bouvier des Flandres. While I think he is very cool, the breed is known for being very aloof, so I'm a little put-off by his lack of interest in me - and only apparent interest in his "alpha-male comfort factor", Travis....and, of course, the other dogs....
Baxter is here, not shown is Bogey (who's a little put off by the intrusion of attention into his beloved Sydney and his parents) and of course, Sydney - who Harley is most intrigued by.
His method of trying to engage in play with Sydney is to take his big paw and bat at her. I suspect by the end of the day, Sydney will engage with him, but she tends to be the one aloof with new dogs (but NOT people).
Meanwhile, the kids have sequestered themselves in the bonus room with ALL of their stuffed animals. They say there's some sort of "flood" going on, so they had to move all of the animals to higher ground. Hey, whatever works for me, as long as they are happy and I can sit back and relax for the rest of the day!
