Tucked right off of 1-5, just before the Salem exit, is the "Enchanted Forest" - a fairy-tale based amusement park open since 1971. Ellie had the good fortune of being able to go on a field trip to this location in May, but the bad fortune of having it rain on her the entire time. So, she begged her mom if she could return - so, there you go. Nati and Mikayla were thrilled to go too.
Disneyworld it is not. But, we still managed to spend three and a half hours there, where the kids did a lot of sliding, exploring, and crawling.
Don't know the name of this mascot - but the girls thought he was cuddly enough to hug....
While we ate our sack lunches, we went into the room where they had a water and lights show. Apparently, on the field trip, they had killed a good 45 minutes in this room as it was in from the rain. We lasted about 15 minutes.
At the top of the park's only roller coaster.....
And, me and Mikayla coming to an end of our log ride - quite wet.
They do these character shows three times a day - this show featured the Hansel and Gretel story. VERY corny, but the kids got a big kick out of it.
The girls - learning how to throw a lasso in the Western town.....
Don't point that thing at me, Nati!
A fitting end picture inside the teepee where the caves wound you around to finally end up. The girls spent a lot of time playing around in there.
