Preparation All Around

This family is nearly "outta here" on a weekend adventure to Sunriver.......I wish we were there now.

For it being "summer" and all that comes with it, you wouldn't think this getaway would be such a big deal. But, I've been holding out on y'all about something big happening here at our happy home.....the exterior is getting completely renovated. By the end of next week, I should have some pretty fun "before and afters" but I'll leave you all in suspense until then. (I know, how can you even sleep given this suspense? Ha ha!).

Anyway.......we've hired out much of the work to be done, but that still has left a few projects and lots of preparation to take care of. John has been amazing - he's literally worked his 10 hour day and then come home to work until about 9pm each night. I feel quite lazy in comparison.... I am, however, taking care of most of the weekend trip prep - and trying to stay out of the way of the workers who have been here - there's been a few moments that have been borderline awkward. Given that folks will be here at 8am tomorrow and working steadily all through the weekend, we couldn't have picked a better time to take a weekend trip. It will also be one occasion that pulling back into our drive will be very exciting, to see the changes that will have transpired, and hopefully, will have radically made a difference in how our house looks.

So - adios until Sunriver....that Central Oregon smell and dry air and brilliant blue skies are beckoning.........(not to mention the hot tub!!!!)
