Obviously, no one told me about the white top dress code......
Yes, that's the four of us - ready to embark upon 9 holes of golf.
Unfortunately, we didn't make it. By the time we reached the 9th hole, the sky looked like this:Obviously, two hours wasn't enough time for the four of us!!! It's a good thing we opted to do this activity when daylight hours are among the longest.
I am happy to report that the reason we weren't able to accomplish all of the holes couldn't be completely attributed to poor abilities. In fact, I had to take a picture of this, as I was so proud - this was where my tee shot ended up! (And, no, it wasn't the shortest hole of the course....).
That was a fluke though. In fact, my consistency was very much lacking, but it didn't matter. Nor did it matter that on the very first hole we ended up at the wrong green. Nor did it matter that on average each of us took at least two "warm up" (missed) swings before actually connecting with the ball. And, let's not even count how many swings it took me to get out of the sand traps (there's a reason they call them "traps"!). The end result was that we had a blast! Kaela, Kara, Lisa, and I totally enjoyed ourselves. We were the last group out for the evening so there was absolutely no pressure (outside of dusk falling) - we just had a hoot. Kara and Kaela had never golfed before, so it was a privilege to be there on their "maiden voyage" on a course. They improved rapidly, so much so that I'm not sure if I will be worthy of their company on the next time around - but I hope so - it was exactly what I'd hoped for when I suggested taking part in the Ladies' Night.....I would love to see it repeated!

Hubby took me golfing once...we didn't complete the 9 holes either, lol. Apparently I am as un-talented as it gets when it comes to golf...and fairly non-interested, too, haha!!! Glad y'all had fun!! I wish I could play better, but I just don't think that's a sport that I will do well in. =)
well i don't know very many women who can pull off horizontal stripes and you sure can! golfing looked fun!
ok, I might enjoy golf with YOU!!! my hubby and kids golf and are always trying to get me to go. my response "you have to CARE if that ball goes in the hole...and I don't!" Besides, they have their own foursome!!!
