Strawberry Tart Recipe

Don't disregard the garage sale question, but here's the recipe (courtesy of the local newspaper) that was eluded to earlier-

Crust:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter

Filling:
8 oz cream cheese at room temp
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. chilled whipping cream
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

3 pints halved strawberries

To make the crust, stir flour, salt and sugar together in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture looks like cornmeal. Press into bottom and sides of casserole pan. Place in freezer for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375. Move crust from freezer to oven and bake for 20 minutes. (rotate as needed)

Meanwhile, beat cream cheese, sugar, and whipping cream until light and smooth. Beat in vanilla and lemon juice.

Cool shell, spread filling evenly over bottom and refridgerate until very firm. (6 hours). This can be done a day ahead.

Decorate with strawberries.
