No Sunriver today, or movie matinees, or any repeating of anything special that we've done in the last year - today was WORK DAY. And, after putting 6 straight hours into both yards, I'm tired and thankful we have an "adults-only" party this evening to get away to.
Despite my fatigue, I'm feeling a huge sense of accomplishment. Both yards got mowed, edged, weeded - bark was put around the front yard and John was able to take a load to the dump. I'm also pleased to report that the kids contributed. While we all desire to teach our kids that life isn't always fun and games, sometimes implementing projects to reinforce that are hard to do. With that said, John and I were able to tag team to keep them hopping. We're all very proud of our efforts.
