A Couple of Questions LVI

Happy Valentine's Day!

In light of this holiday in honor of Cupid, I thought I'd make the questions a little thematic....

1. What is your all-time favorite romance book?

2. How about your favorite romantic comedy or romance movie?

Michele, these questions shouldn't stump you too much, so I'm hoping for some comments from you......

As you can tell, I messed up the date and time, oh well, it works.

1. I'm thinking, but without Michele as my resource I'm a bit stumped. The original Lori Wick novels are pretty darn sweet, I think THE PRINCESS and THE HAWK AND THE JEWEL are two of them. Just feel good, cozy, light....

2. I'm going to have to go with "You've Got Mail". I remember leaving the theater feeling such warm fuzzies...... and, it's a movie that if it happens to be on, I'm sucked in all over again

1. The Bible and the love story between us and Jesus.
Sorry, even though that should be my answer, well, ya know....I just wrote it to make you two feel bad.....haha! Just like Chele, I crack myself up. Oh and by the way, Chele, you cracked me up!
Truth: I don't read much. Maybe "He's Just Not That Into You" but I never read it. Gotta get back to ya on this one, Steph!
2. Sweet Home Alabama, hands down
The Sound of Music is a romance? Maybe I need to watch it...hmmm
Happy Valentines everyone!

Thanks Michele, you made up for lost groung on that (2nd!) post.... I'll have to re-read some of those - I forget about "The Legend of the Emerald Rose" - "Giver of Roses" is another good one.....

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!

My goodness, it's Valentine's Day at the Improv around here...too much chocolate in our veins!

1. Last summer I read "Reconstructing Natalie" and even though the romantic pairing was obvious, I wanted to cheer when it finally happened. A guy who's an awesome single dad, who helps you through cancer and holds your head while you throw up...well, it doesn't get much better than that. Plus he's totally hot!!

2. "Amelie" because of the quirky characters and the way Amelie brings all of them (and herself) more love and joy in their lives. "Shakespeare in Love" because...need I say more? Ralph Fiennes' brother is every bit as delicious as he is. And, a la Michele and her categories, my Favorite Romantic Moment in an Action Movie award goes to: "The Bourne Identity" when Matt Damon's finishes the intimate acts of dyeing and chopping off her hair and then they finally go for it. And I firmly believe less is more when it comes to sex scenes (or the absense thereof). Happy Lovey Dovey Day!

Tyler jumped out of bed this morning and presented me with two valentines he made me...almost made me cry. He was a little upset I didn't have a card for him - uh oh, better get on that this afternoon! It's too hard to explain that on the 14th of ANY month I am always broke.

I don't have all time favs. but I have many I like.

Most recently:
1) Ted Dekker triology The Circle - talk about an amazing love story!

2) Moulin Roluge - a bit on the trashy side but oh so good!

1. Boy, I really don't read romance novels. I am all about mystery and suspense! Although, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers was a great book.

2. All-time favorite movie, when it comes to romance, would have to be: Titanic! Travis would always know when I was watching it when he would call and I would be crying my eyes out. He just doesn't understand how I can watch a movie 100 times and still cry.

Chele, you crack me up! Hollie, you crack me up too!
