Seriously. If there's ever a time we consider perhaps purchasing a bigger house, it comes back to how we never want to leave our little neighborhood nest. It's not as though we're all best friends or anything - but that's kind of the way I'd prefer it. Most of the folks around us are about a half generation ahead of us and they are all so sweet in how they look out for us, offering to keep an eye on the house whenever we leave, etc.
So, around Christmas time, an easy way to say thank-you (and a positive way to encourage the kids that it's not all about them), is to deliver some sort of Christmas goodies. I do the baking, the kids and John do the delivering. It's a group effort..... =)
