What Oregon did to us in May and June weather-wise was truly cruel. We were put through the test, that's for sure, waiting for the sunshine to come. But, then as if it knew it had a lot of "making up to do", July, and so far, August, have been GLORIOUS! I think it was the best July I can remember.....
So, that has meant a lot of outdoor playtime. On Monday, that playtime included Amy and her two youngest (Andrew is at camp with the boys). She came over around noon and the crew didn't leave until around 8 - as the kids kept chanting (literally.....I could hear them from outside in the garage while I was prepping for camping) "One More Hour". It's hard to encourage anything but having them "keep playing" when they are all so happy.
It was a good catch-up day with Amy too. That girl is SO BUSY....but us twins have a way of enticing her to let it all go and "just hang". We got her to actually read through some "People" magazines at the pool, it was quite an accomplishment in seeing Amy come close to doing "nothing productive". =)
She took this pic of the kids before we took off - those floaties made for so much fun for the kids.....
The only camera I had with me was Mikayla's. I'm going to need to check the settings on that as it takes very bizarre colored pics - way too bright - I had to do some tricks to try to subdue them a bit, but at least we were able to catch some of the fun......
we have had the complete opposite weather here and this girl who LOVES the sun is ready for a break!!!
