Ever since I've heard of "Flashback Friday", I've wanted to do it. But, for a while our scanner wasn't cooperating - or I wasn't in the mood.
However, after unexpectedly having "Family Night" in the attic (John was looking for a specific video of his days at Camp Harlow), I've found quite a bit of "Flashback Fodder". Unfortunately, once again, our scanner is being uncooperative, but that's okay, as I had previously scanned in something that happened to us about 4 and a half years ago that I think is perfect to post on the week of April Fools.
It was just about 4 months after we moved in, and one morning I woke up, stepped outside to get the paper and was SHOCKED by what was in our front yard. It was eerie, otherworldly, and it took a while for me to process what had happened. We'd been "bubbled" - more specifically, kids threw three whole bottles of Ajax dish soap into our water fountain. The fountain and landscape were much different back then, which probably lent for an even more dramatic effect.
I wasn't mad at all, though if there had been repeat performances that would have gotten old. We had so many people in the neighborhood drive by slow, or start conversations, it was kind of neat. Obviously, Brayden had a good time taking care of the problem too.....
that's hilarious! i'd love to walk right through it! what an interesting concept...where do the kids come up with this stuff??!!??
