A Couple of Questions 95

HAPPY 2008 EVERYONE! I was going to change blog sites with the start of this year, but frankly, I'm not one for change, and simple seems to be working for me. So, there you go.

I hope last night was a fun one for folks. We ended up watching "The Holiday" which I'd never seen - very cute movie, a perfect choice for the evening, particularly since it was just the girls watching it.

1. How did you ring in 2008?

2. What are your ambitions for 2008 and how do you plan to implement them - or see them happen?

  1. 1. As the clock struck midnight, we were watching Dick Clark, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, The Jonas Brothers, and Ryan Seacrest with the Whites and Quigleys - every child was awake except for Mikayla who fell asleep just 10 minutes earlier.....

    2. Nothing new and exciting - a return to the disciplines that have slipped (and always do) at the close of the year - working out, eating lean, my glo-lamp, finishing my "Through the Bible in a Year", as well as trying to get a handle on better routines with the kiddos too.

  2. 1. We hosted a party. My girls were awake and at about 11:30pm Espen woke up, so we were all able to hug and kiss at midnight. We completed the festivities with fireworks and breakfast. It was quite that party, but now I am tired.
    2. Oh probably a continuation of last year's ambitions. I really failed in 2007, so I think i may approach 2008 a bit differently, like no expectations.

  4. I woke up and heard a girl screaming outside, it sounded like a "I NEED HELP" scream so I jumped up and on my way to the window, thinking I needed to grab the phone to call 911, I heard more screaming and then a firework go off. I crawled back in bed and realized that not only did I NOT stay up past 10pm, but I also forgot it was New Year's altogether at midnight. Loser.

  5. Yeah, Hollie - I think at "100" I will approach the question thing a little more randomly.

Wow, Jodi - impressive, you are SUCH A PARTY ANIMAL!

    1. Isabel turned four, so we invited another family to join us at the A.C.Gilbert House in Salem for their kid-party. It was packed but the kids had fun. Then I made sure to be in bed by 10:30 so I could sleep through the noise at midnight...no such luck, just a few houses down they were setting off huge fireworks. I waited for all the drunk people to stop playing with fire and go back inside, then I went back to sleep. :)

    2. Instead of focusing on my diet (sure path to failure) I am focusing on moving more and getting outside more. I'd like to keep up my Bible reading routine and do a couple in-depth studies. And of course, pay down those credit cards!!
