A Couple of Questions LIX

Well, I made it to the hair appt. today. The 2 and a half hours I spent there was wonderful.....and, just to be a semi-good mom, I did leave my phone on vibrate on my lap just in case either school called to tell me to retrieve my child.... Really, they both did okay, I think we could have justified either choice. Michele took Traig into the doc today as it is his 5th day running a fever - it's a good ol' virus, which they are seeing a whole lot of. Fortunately, it's not too painful - just completely zapping.

Tomorrow, we head to the desert to see Mark Schultz in concert. The whole family is really pumped for it - and it will be fun worshiping with Michele's family next to us - and Jodi's family too! Then, I will make an effort to try snowboarding on Friday. Since I've mastered the plug-in game (see Christmas post) I don't think I even need lessons, but I'll hang out with Mikayla during her lessons just in case there might be some information I might have missed! =)

1. What was the best concert you've ever been to, or if nothing comes to my mind, what concert would you most want to go to?

2. Any skiing/snowboarding anecdotes you feel like sharing?

  1. 1. Best concert - Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns and Chris Tomlin - we were front row - such an entertaining and moving night.

    2. 11 years ago, I went with Michael and Michele to Mt. Bachelor. I trusted Michael to lead the way and he took us up to an intermediate run. I was not a happy camper as it had been a bit since I'd been skiing and needed a slower run to build confidence again. I ended up going from side to side crashing just getting down the hill. I've forgiven Michael since then, but boy, was I ticked! Needless to say, I'm quite pleased to have the excuse to be doing the bunny runs with Mikayla!

    1. Maybe the best concert will be Kutless/The Newsboys in a couple weeks - I'm going to take Tyler! He is a huge fan of heavy metal (so glad there's a Chistian version of the sounds of Metallica) and I haven't been to a concert, even at the fair, for years and years.

    2. I've never been downhill skiing, and only tried x-country a couple times as a kid. It was too expensive a sport for my parents to afford, and then once I was an adult I figured I'd just tear off a kneecap like Robyn did, so I stayed away....

  3. 1. I really enjoyed the Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, and Chris Tomlin concert too. It was a blast to go with you guys. However, I must say that the best concert I have ever been to is the Tim McGraw concert. I went with my mom and sister and we ran into Chele and Michael there!

    2. I will have to get back with you on this question. Let's just wait until we go tomorrow. Although I will not have lessons from someone at Bachelor, Travis will be showing me what to do. I have never skiied and/or been snowboarding in my life, so this is going to be fun!

  4. Heather - I'm so excited for you - what a special event for you and your son - I have to say, that wouldn't be the easiest concert for me to enjoy, but it's the sort of thing I KNOW Brayden would love.....what a great thing for you to do for Tyler.

  5. 1. I haven't been to alot of concerts, but I keep checking Harry Connick Jr.s schedule to see if he'll be around this area at all. He puts on a fun show.
    2. I don't ski, but I would like my kids to go through life knowing how.
