I just sent my son to his bedroom for the 3rd time since he got home from school. No crying, no arguing, - just him doing something completely without thinking (like hucking an empty rubbermaid bin across the living room floor narrowly missing a burning candle).... I thought school was supposed to calm them down!!! No luck.... I'll post pictures when John comes home with the camera of Brayden's first day.
Here's the questions:
1. What is one thing you saved for but realized wasn't worth it after all?
2. What is a household item that you consider a bit of an indulgence but really appreciate having?
P.S. Happy Birthday Christy and Liz!!!
1. College? Oh no, wait, I guess I came away with a degree, so I suppose it was worth it....... I can't really think of anything off the top of my head....
ReplyDelete2. Amazing smelling candles..... I can understand why people spend the money on high quaility candles, they smell so good and make me very happy. Currently, I have a Yankee "Harvest" candle burning - oh, the joy!
1. Marriage....haha
ReplyDelete2. Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker.
ps: I am going to try that Harvest candle, Steph!
pps: And Brayden man, you are sooooo cute!!!
1. I really can't think of anything right now, but I know that there are probably tons of things that I save up for and end up disappointed with.
ReplyDelete2. First, I have to say our cable. We have the biggest package available, and LOVE it! We really don't need it, but can't seem to downgrade to a lower package. The TV is always on in our house, even if I am reading a book. I just love having it as background noise.
I also have to agree with stephie... Harvest Yankee Candles are my most FAVORITE smell in the entire world! I stock up on them in the fall and have them burning in my house year-round. I get so depressed if I run out in the summer because they are only available in the fall. Yummy!
Have a great weekend everyone!
First of all, "JustMe" - loved your post recently about Everyday Miracles - that is so inspiring, keep sharing!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, Harvest Candles (as well as McIntosh - another yummy favorite) are 25% off right now at Bed, Bath, and Beyond - so Steph, might be the time to stock up!
1. I've set money aside in my head for a clothing purchase before and then decided against it. I can't think of anything else really.
ReplyDelete2. Hmmm, there are a few things I could live without but we always have because I really like them, like my hot water top, but they aren't regular purchases. I guess candles are one, TYLER candles, because they are the only way to go. :) Pods from Starbucks, although I don't buy those regularly because I'm too lazy to make my own. Clorox wipes, totally unnecessary but make life easier. I can't think of anything else.
