These questions came to me while looking at the ads for Old Navy this weekend. That, and thinking about my own high school portraits and just how much they indicate what decade I went to high school......
1. What fashion styles were most difficult for you to let go of (another words, you liked them so much, you continued the trend when it was no longer in style)?
2. What fashion styles do you hope to avoid the most?
1. Bangs were very hard for me to let go of - especially the big fluffy kind full of Aqua Net. Also, and I am disturbed to admit this, but I hung on to leggings WAY too long. They went out of style prior to my first pregnancy - but were too comfortable to throw out and therefore were a staple of BOTH pregnancies.....
ReplyDelete2. I NEVER thought I'd ever wear flare leg jeans in high school - they were called bell-bottoms then, and I'd never be caught dead.... It was pegged jeans or nothing.... Now, as my closet is only filled with flare jeans, and tapered are returning, I'm finding myself cringing.....
It looks like leggings are coming back too! How unfortunate!
ReplyDelete1. waist high underwear! I loved them. Unfortunatly I also like and liked low rise jeans so it just didn't work out. It wasn't really "fashion" but it was for me:-).
2. I enjoy some 80's looks but some that are coming back are very unfortunate! I don't have a specific answer to this but let's say I'm very happy long shorts and long shirts are back in! It was very frustrating to not find shirts that covered my stomach and shorts that covered my _ _ s!
I agree with those long shirts - such a better look for me and my body type. My stomache is not a pretty thing to play peek-a-boo with!
ReplyDelete1. I can't let go of my sexy white thong swimsuit, which this bod should really not be seen in. Sorry to all of you who are picturing it.....haha
ReplyDelete2. I really don't like shrugs, but I did buy a few for my girls to wear as coverups with their dance leotards.
