In honor of Mikayla:
1. What was the worst (non ER visit) injury that you remember having as a kid?
Simply random:
2. What national park would you most like to visit if money and distance were no object?
The blue skies outside have been so brilliant - they've lifted my spirits tremendously. Hope you've had an opportunity to enjoy them......
1. This is silly because it is really minor, but I remember sweeping at a neighbors and somehow taking a huge chunk of skin out of my thumb. I still have the scar. That is so minor, but because I remember it, I must share, since I remember NOTHING from my childhood! Frankly I wasn't hurt often and didn't have any serious injuries or illnesses to speak of.
ReplyDelete2. To be honest, none, I have no interest in national parks at this point. I guess if I did some major research I might have an answer to this question, but since I know little about National Parks (like can't think of one besides Yosemite, Yellowstone and Crater Lake), all I'm thinking is: Skip the park, take the money and put my body by a pool with a good drink in Palm Springs.
1. When I was probably 8, I tried to brush my mom's horse when she was eating. She didn't want to be messed with and I ignored the warning signs. She basically just nipped at me, but it happened to be right between the arteries (veins?) in my neck, so it's a good thing she wasn't too agressive. Between that scar and the tracheotomy scar (obviously an ER visit), I prefer turtlenecks!
ReplyDelete2. I just read a FAMILY CIRCLE magazine that detailed national parks which peaked my interest. I'd love to see Yosemite, I'll always be attached to Yellowstone, and I think it would be very fascinating to see some of the parks that have the amazing caves.....
1. I guess I am not much of a risk taker because I haven't really ever hurt myself....do broken hearts count? haha I have been really aching in the morning from drinking too much the night before. another haha
ReplyDelete2. Disney World
I have a heart for Acadia Nat'l Park in Maine for obvious reasons, but also it is beautiful, near the ocean but with the forest nearby, really nice. But I really did love Yellowstone when we visited and would go back in a heartbeat.
ooooo, Michele, that does sound nice: a Nat'l Park in Hawaii. I wonder if I can get Pete to schlep our camping stuff there.....
ReplyDeleteDidn't you know that Disney World is a Nat'l Park? haha!
