1. When I was little I wanted to be a Veterinarian. I was so interested in this that I begged my dad to buy me a bunch of vet books at a garage sale. He did and I spent the next few years with these smelly, musty books in my bedroom. I also wanted to become a massage therapist. I still would like to take classes and become one someday.
I was a little older when I realized what I really wanted to be when I 'grew up'. If I weren't so tied to our hometown (oh yeah, and married to someone tied to our hometown), and we didn't have such wonderful friends, I would go back to school in a heartbeat and become either a homicide detective or a forensic scientist. That is my all time dream! I could go back to school but then I would have to go where the work was, and I don't think that is here. :o(
2.Become either a homicide detective or a forensic scientist....
Actually, I have always wanted to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. I had to do a report on King Tut when I was in grade school and ever since then I have wanted to go to Egypt. I am not sure it will ever happen because Travis has no desire what-so-ever to go there, but that is something I would like to do before I leave this earth.
Steph- I am glad you guys had so much fun at the coast. It looks like it was absolutely beautiful. Have a great week and I will see you on Thursday!
1. Career aspirations: teacher (obviously) and waitress. I remember being quite impressed with the lady serving us at Sambos and thinking how cool that would be someday. Career dreams realized!
2. Yeah, swimming with the dolphins would be my pick too. Recently, I looked up the website to Discovery Cove in Orlando and found out that as young as age 6 you can swim with the dolphins in their pool. So, that's the big goal when Mikayla gets to that age - we'll keep you posted!
You girls are funny - swimming w/ dolphins - that's great! And it's attainable:-). Okay: 1) I really wanted to be a model and a mechanic. Yes, this was pretty early on childhood but someone said I had high cheek bones and models have high cheek bones so that sealed the deal for me. And I loved fixing things. I pretended to be the "man in the house". My sister said I should be a modeling mechanic. 2)I have so many dreams. I'm not sure about childhood dreams but a current dream is to start a home for pregnant teens and teenage mothers. But that is NOT a childhood dream. I can't think of a chlidhood one.
1. Career Aspirations: to be a teacher. I also remember saying to someone "I am going to make $50,000 a year, at 40 hours per week and minimum wage" I guess I wasn't very good in math! 2. I still would like to have a degree in teaching, (maybe that is why I tried my hand at homeschooling), but at childhood time it was Elementary Ed, now it is Home Ec. oh and I always wanted to star in Dallas.....
1. Teacher. (Was this every young girl's dream?) I remember as I got older, middle school or so, I wanted to be a business woman in New York City. I had the NYC Skyline poster in my room and wanted to be single forever and have a big career. Hmmm. Odd. 2. I can't think of a childhood dream. The only dreams I have yet to fulfill are owning a beach house and publishing. I don't think those were from childhood, though.
