I'm off for a girls' weekend - when is the last time I packed a bag just for me? It's been really loud around this house lately, lots of kids, lots of puppies - I'm ready for a little tranquility.
inspired by Jodi - here are a couple of questions that came to mind that I thought I'd throw out there for folks to respond to-
1. What is something that you value, and are willing to spend money on, that others might not consider that important?
2. If you could be a fly on the wall (let's keep it clean and eliminate the bedrooms...) in any famous person's house - who would that be?
Have a great weekend everyone!
1. Eating out. I place high value on sitting down to a nice meal with my husband. I know many people would rather eat cheap and do something else, but I'd rather sit in a nice atmosphere, eat good food, and talk.
ReplyDelete2. Jessica Simpson because I really want to know what the heck happened. Or Jennifer Aniston because I wonder what she is really like.
1. My first thought was handbags but then I remembered that I have been cutting way down on that splurge. The Jodi reminded me that I like good food in a great atmosphere too. Then hharwood reminded me I too like to own my books. But to choose between the 3 right now, I'd have to choose eating out.
ReplyDelete2. I like hharwood's answer, but I really want to choose someone, just for fun (oh did you put that little rated G warning in there for me? haha)
Madonna. I love her everchanging style and the way she doesn't care what the world thinks, but I want to know is she really happy? And what kind of childhood did she have?
That was fun, Steph!
I guess I'll answer my own questions-
ReplyDelete1. I value cozy, comfort, memorable activities. So, if that means splurging on movies and pizza and fun food from the grocery store on a day Michele comes over, just cuz it's fun - we do it. Same with good tv capabilities and PS2 games, things around our house that make coming over/staying here enjoyable.
2. I asked the question, but I can't even come up with an answer.... I'm definitely not much of a famous person fan - I think it would be fun to watch a Tom Hanks or Will Ferrell - see how there house runs on a day to day moment. Maybe watch Laura Bush for a day.
1. Travis and I love to go to NASCAR races. Not many of our friends (ok, none of our friends) would spend the money to see cars go round and round a race track. However, Travis and I live for it. There is nothing that compares to the sound of those engines being fired up!
ReplyDelete2. I would love to see what goes on behind closed doors at the Spears/Federline household. Are they really that childish all of the time? Or, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, only because I think he is so dang hot!!
I ammend my answer to number 2 - I'd go with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. I really admire her and think they would be neat to watch as doting parents to their new baby.
